Nanoscale processing for thin film recording heads

Abstract

A report on nanoscale processing for thin film recording heads was presented. The progress in research for understanding the scalability of magnetic recording for sensor and pole tip dimensions well below 100 nm was also discussed. Scanning electron microscopy was used to investigate the nanoscale processing of the poletip and sensor.
