Multicasting flow control for hybrid wired/wireless ATM networks
Abstract
Multicasting flow control algorithms in a combined wired/wireless ATM networks with unstable links and conflicting requests are investigated. Multipoint communications are needed for supporting distributed applications such as audio and video conferencing, server and replicated database synchronization, and other distributed on-line applications. With the increasing need for ATM multipoint service, more and more efforts are put into the research of efficient and scalable multicast algorithms for available bit rate flow as well as transmission control protocol traffic over the Internet.
