Micromagnetic Modeling of Permalloy Particles: Thickness Effects
Abstract
We have simulated magnetization reversal in high aspect ratio, rectangular permalloy particles in the thickness range 125A to 1500A. Trends for coercivity, hysteresis loops, reversal mechanism and remanent states, especially as they are influenced by the increased three dimensionality of the particle, will be presented. Special attention will be given to the formation of a low moment state when an in-plane, transverse field is applied. © 1991 IEEE
