Magneto-optic properties of amorphous Tb-Co films
Abstract
The magnetization of Tb//xCo//1-//x amorphous alloy films for x equals 0. 15 to 0. 32 shows less deviation from saturated conditions than corresponding Tb-Fe films. The Faraday rotation is found to be due mainly to the Co magnetic subsystem and not to the Tb. The rotation of the Co is much larger than can be attributed to the Hall angle alone.
