Magnetic properties and Hall effect of amorphous Gd-Au films
Abstract
Amorphous alloys of GdxAu1-x have been studied in the range x = 0.26 to 0.72, T = 4.2 to 300 K and fields up to 80 kG. The Hall conductivity ρH/ρ2 is found to be linear in T c suggesting that conduction electron spin polarization determines the magnitude of the spontaneous Hall effect.
