Low-density parity-check codes for multilevel modulation
Abstract
The application of low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes for multilevel modulation was studied. A family of binary LDPC codes, offering good performance and that didn't suffered from error-floor effects at low bit-error rates, was introduced. Results showed that the proposed LDPC coding technique was well-suited for multi-carrier digital-subscriber-line transmission applications and it permits a wide range of trade-offs between latency, complexity and system performance.
