Living longer independently - A healthcare interoperability perspective
Abstract
Population ageing is driving the development of Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) technologies. AAL solutions enhance the quality of life of older people, bringing the benefits of new technologies to their daily environment. Current healthcare IT and standards are working together to provide the building blocks needed to develop interconnected, interoperable, open AAL applications. © 2010 Springer-Verlag.
