LEED and surface structure
Abstract
The present status and future prospects of atomic scale surface structure determination by LEED are surveyed. A case is made that LEED intensity analysis has done well on many simple systems and that extension to more complex systems does not require conceptual changes, but improvement in technique. Systems are classified by difficulty and some structural results of special interest are discussed. Some reasons for success and suggestions for improvement are noted. © 1982.
