Head Sensitivity Function Determined from Recording Measurements
Abstract
An approximate head sensitivity function can be determined from recording measurements with resolution both along and across the track using isolated pulse waveforms from a track ~0.5 μm wide. The instrumentation required is simple and widely available. Typical results for a thin-film recording head are presented. © 1991 IEEE
