Experimental observations of the negative atomic nitrogen ion
Abstract
The presence of N- has been confirmed for the first time in electron-impact excitation of nitric oxide and of a mixture of N2 and O2. The appearance potentials indicate N-(D1), without excluding N-(S1). © 1977 The American Physical Society.
