Energy exchange in thermal energy atom-surface scattering: impulsive models
Abstract
Energy exchange in thermal energy atom surface collisions is studied using impulsive ("hard cube" and "hard sphere") models. Both models reproduce the observed nearby linear relation between outgoing and incoming energies. In addition, the hard-sphere model accounts for the widths of the outcoming energy distributions. © 1979.
