Effect of molecular interactions on the dielectric constant for multi-level systems
Abstract
Results for the correction in the polarizability of an atom due to intermolecular dispersive interactions are presented for atomic hydrogen, considered as a typical example of non two-level atoms. A simple approximation scheme, which is useful for more complicated systems and leads to excellent results for atomic hydrogen, is outlined. © 1969.
