EFFECT OF INCORPORATING RADIATION ENCLOSURE THEORY INTO THE SIMULATION OF MELT FLOW IN MAGNETIC CZOCHRALSKI GROWTH OF SILICON.
Abstract
Modeling of the radiative heat loss in Czochralski flow is improved by accounting for the fact that the melt faces onto external surfaces that are at various temperatures, and that different regions of the melt free surface have different views of these external surfaces. The simulations tend to confirm a result reported elsewhere that the emissivity of silicon melt is nearly an order of magnitude lower than that of silicon crystal.
