Dynamics of transition writing in antiferromagnetically coupled magnetic recording media
Abstract
Dynamics of transition writing in antiferromagnetically coupled magnetic recording media was discussed. Micromagnetic calculations of the writing of isolated transitions in the top and bottom layers of a double layer antiferromagnetically coupled media (AFC) medium were performed. Results showed that larger bottom layer thickness increases bottom layer moment density and weaker interfacial exchange energy density between top and bottom layers leads to spin wave oscillations.
