Diamagnetic persistent current in diffusive normal-metal rings
Abstract
Diffusive mesoscopic gold rings were tested to measure diamagnetic persistent current with flux periodicities of both h/e and h/2e. The magnitudes of the currents per ring at lowest temperatures, corresponding to periodic responses were comparable to the Thouless energy . A diamagnetic response was found for both h/e and h/2e signals.
