Degenerate vernier interferometric laser resonators
Abstract
An experiment is described which demonstrates that the loss associated with the high Q modes of vernier resonators remains constant as the degenerate configuration is approached. Methods are described which utilize near-degenerate vernier resonators for (1) studying the competition between laser transitions with common energy levels and (2) measuring electron densities in cw gaseous plasmas. © 1970 The American Institute of Physics.
