Correlation energy of the neon atom
Abstract
Pair correlation energies for the L-shell of Ne(1S) are computed using an extended orbitat basis set that includes spherical harmonies up to l . The sum of pair computed to be 105.2% of the emperical correlation energy. This result is exepected to be close to the true variational limit. © 1969.
