Comparison of microwave absorption in single-crystal and ceramic YBaCuO
Abstract
The magnetic field dependence of the microwave absorption of superconducting Y1Ba2Cu3Ox was measured as a function of temperature. Ceramic samples exhibited hysteresis, remanence, and sensitivity to very low magnetic fields. These features were not observed in a single crystal at comparable fields and temperatures. Instead, microwave absorption in the single crystal was highly anisotropic. © 1988.
