CML delay cell with extended tuning range

View publication

Abstract

A method is presented to extend the tuning range of current-mode logic based delay cells applied in a ring oscillator. Switching-point-optimised inverters are used to implement a feed-forward control of the delay cell's output common-mode voltage that compensates for the non-ideal frequency tuning characteristic. © The Institution of Engineering and Technology 2007.
