Availability in telecommunication management distributed systems
Abstract
This work presents the development of a Markov-based model for availability analysis of telecommunication management systems. The model was applied to analyze the Integrated System of Supervision (SIS), allowing to define the availability of parts of the system, to identify hardware and software components responsible for decreasing the availability of the system, and to define actions for availability improvement. The model is generic and can be applied in other management systems, such as management systems based on SNMP.
