It is shown that the relative widths of photoconductive current transients, obtained in molecularly doped polymers, are independent of the electric field and sample thickness, even when the current before the transit time is nearly time independent. Such a result has been termed universality in the Scher-Montroll theory of dispersive transport. The implications of these results for the field and temperature dependence of the mobility are considered. © 1993, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
