A general nonlinear increase-decrease resource allocation algorithm with applications
Abstract
We describe and present a general class of synchronous nonlinear increase-decrease algorithms which can be applied in any situation in which a limited resource has to be distributed amongst a group of users. No inter-agent communication is required and the algorithms are provably convergent. This work unifies and generalises a number of recent papers on this topic.
