A DC-coupled low-power transimpedance amplifier architecture for Gb/s communication system applications
Abstract
A DC-coupled transimpedance amplifier (TIA) architecture for optical receiver front-ends with low-power requirements is demonstrated. 12.5Gb/s performance is achieved for TIAs implemented in 0.25μm CMOS and 47GHz f T SiGe BiCMOS technologies while drawing approximately 1mA from 1.5V and 1.8V supplies, respectively.
