Eva De Leo is manager of the Binnig and Rohrer Nanotechnology Center (BRNC), a state-of-the-art research facility operated jointly by IBM Research Zurich and ETH Zurich. The nanocenter provides cutting-edge technology and know-how for advancing nanosciences. It hosts ~1000 m2 of cleanroom space, noise-free labs, offices and dry labs, including a mechanical workshop and electronic services.
Eva received her PhD degree from the Optical Materials Engineering Laboratory of ETH Zurich for her work on nanostructured surfaces and fluorescent emitters. She then worked as R&D manager for Polariton Technologies on electro-optic devices.
Eva has a broad background in managing operations, teams, and projects in the field of nanotechnology, with research experience also at MIT, Philips Research, EPFL, INP Grenoble and Politecnico di Torino.
