Dr. Jonathan Mamou
Dr. Jonathan Mamou received his BSc degree in Computer
Science and Applied Mathematics from ENSIMAG, Grenoble
Polytechnic Institute, France, and his MSc degree in
computer science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem,
Israel. He received his PhD degree from Paris-Sud
University, France, in 2005, where his thesis work focused
on information retrieval from semi-structured data and on
the development of a search engine for XML data. Since 2005,
he has worked at the IBM Haifa Research Lab. His current
research interests are in the area of spoken data retrieval.
He is the author of several scientific articles. Dr. Mamou
was a major contributor to IBM's efforts that resulted in
winning the 2006 NIST Contest on Spoken Term Detection.
