4th International IBM Cloud Academy Conference
ICACON 2016

Call for Papers

ICACON 2016 will be the 4th event in the "International IBM Cloud Academy Conference" series, established to bring together academics and practitioners working on methods and tools to address problems around the development, deployment, management and use of cloud infrastructures.

Of particular interest will be submissions featuring original research or experience reports that address how the transition to cloud computing is transforming education, healthcare and government. The submissions should aim to communicate best practices with real-world examples illustrating improvements in quality, outcomes, lessons learned and return-on-investment.

Topics of Interest

A range of topics relevant to cloud computing in education, government and research are of interest, including (but not limited to) the ones below.

• Standards and Open Source Strategies for Cloud Computing
• Institutional Strategy and Planning for Cloud Computing
• Cloud Computing Implementation Strategies
• Systems Management in a Cloud Computing Environment
• Building Green Data Centers
• Software-engineering for the cloud
• Data Management and Analytics on the Cloud
• User Productivity with Cloud Computing
• Research Computing in the Cloud
• Pedagogical Impact of Cloud Computing

Call for papers

At least one author for each accepted paper should register and present at the conference.

Short papers (extended abstracts) initially submitted for review should be 2-4 pages long. The author(s) should indicate the preferred mode of presentation, i.e., as a sesssion talk or as a poster. Submissions will be managed through EasyChair and peer reviewed by at least three domain experts from among those listed on the Technical Committee.

The best presented papers will then be selected for publication in a special issue of the International Journal of Cloud Computing / IJCC. The final selected papers should follow the IJCC format.
