Student learning about AI

Are you ready for the world of pervasive AI?

Data is the fuel of the twenty-first century economy. From entertainment to manufacturing and security, AI is helping redefine how businesses and other organizations operate. Lack of AI skills however remains one of the top barriers for AI adoption. For college students today, no matter what field of study they pursue, a cursory knowledge of AI is essential. Universities globally are rising to meet the challenges of developing new coursework and programs to meet the demands of students and the future job market.

We have created a set of programs specifically designed to help higher education institutions accelerate the adoption of AI.

From curriculum kits to job and research opportunities – the resources you need to adopt and teach trusted and Open Source AI.

Curriculum

IBM Skills Academy

IBM Skills Academy is a skills training program which includes lectures, labs, quizzes, exams, videos, reference notes and industry use cases spanning 70+ hours of content and includes digital certificates upon successful completion. Faculty are invited to our premier train-the-trainer workshop to learn how to teach the program to students. Faculty can augment the program with their own content, allowing for both a stand-alone offering or embedding into their course. Its flexibility allows for faculty to create a course that can be for credit as well as for adult learners as part of a non-credit offering. Check out the low code/no code AI course overview here (PDF, 250KB) .

Build or grow Data Science and AI programs with OpenDS4All

OpenDS4All   is a curriculum kit comprised of a set of open source building blocks for teaching the core concepts of data science in undergraduate and graduate programs. These building blocks are based on Python and open source tools and frameworks and include slides, documentation, code, and links to public data sets that could be adopted or updated by anyone. The materials can be used as they are, or can be modified to meet individual program needs. The goal of the project is to offer a set of building blocks for schools to supplement, strengthen, and start-up their data science programs.
