William Ogallo

William Ogallo is a Staff Research Scientist and the current Technical Assistant to the Director of Healthcare and Life Science Research at IBM. He also manages the Discovery Science and Applications team at IBM Research Africa. William is skilled in knowledge discovery & data mining, health informatics, and health information technology. His research interests include applied subset scanning for detecting anomalous patterns in large-scale data, time series analysis, and machine learning to accelerate scientific discoveries. William holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Nairobi and a PhD in biomedical informatics from Columbia University in the City of New York.
