Valesca Moura de Sousa

Research and Software Engineering Intern at IBM Research's Knowledge-centric Systems group. She is a graduate student of the Computer Science course and a member of the MídiaCom and SGCLab research groups at Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), where she did her scientific initiation in the area of parallel and distributed programming. She worked at the UFF Hydraulics Laboratory in a project in the oil sector in partnership with Petrobras, working with distributed computing and computational fluid dynamics problem modeling, which resulted in an honorable mention at PIBIC UFF Engenharias. His areas of research interest include distributed systems, middlewares, cloud computing, software engineering and HPC.
