Bio
I am a Research Scientist in the Telecommunication research team at IBM Research India. I am also affiliated to Hybrid cloud platforms team at IBM India Research Lab(IRL). I work in the area of network observability. I work in close collaborations with networking teams at Redhat Inc. My expertise include ebpf and kernel level monitoring and obsrvability.
I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science at Stony Brook University in New York. I worked under the superversion of Dr. Michalis Polychronakis. At SBU, I worked on software security with my dissertation focussing on API Specialization with the aim of Attack Surface Reduction in both end-user and server based applications. In the past, I have also worked with distributed systems, to understand the tail latency in heavy workloads. Before that, I worked with Dr. S.V.Rao at Indian Insititute of Technology Guwahati in the field of wireless sensor networks and their unsupervised deployment.
I did two research internships at Facebook Inc. In the first one, I worked with their Android compiler team to create a dynamic analysis framework for capturing Android application load time behavior. In the next one, I worked on open source tool Pyre to perform security evaluations on Python based applications.
