Michal Muszynski is a Postdoctoral AI Research Fellow/Data Scientist in the Department of Accelerated Discovery and Artificial Intelligence at IBM Research Europe in Zurich.
His research mostly focuses on:
creating tunable and reusable AI foundation models to analyze petabytes of text and remote-sensing data for mitigation of climate impact on society and businesses and successful adaptation to a changing environment;
mobile health interventions and establishing an integrated chronic disease management platform with the aim to record patient symptoms continuously, predict and prevent acute events for supporting patients in their everyday activities;
developing AI-assisted chemical sensing technologies for rapid fingerprinting of complex liquids.
Michal holds a PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, Master of Science in Robotics, and Bachelor of Science in Robotics, and Mathematics from the Warsaw University of Technology, Poland. Before joining IBM Research, he was a postdoctoral research fellow in multimodal machine learning and computer vision at Carnegie Mellon University, the United States of America. Michal has also authored and co-authored over thirty publications and two books.
