Maria Julia De Castro Villafranca Garcia

Maria received a B.S degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) in 2022. During her Bacharel’s studies, she conducted research on multi-classification of data stream using Evolving Fuzzy-Rule-Based Systems and Multitask Learning. Since joining IBM Research as a B.S student intern in mid-2021, she has predominantly worked on the implementation and use of weather generators for climate applications. Currently, she is pursuing her Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with the major field of study in Computer Engineering and Telecommunications at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP).
