Felipe Lopes de Oliveira

Felipe Lopes de Oliveira is a Research Intern at the IBM Research center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and a Ph.D. Student in Chemistry at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).

Felipe has a BSc in Nanoscience and Bionanotechnology (2018) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and an MSc in Chemistry (2020) from UFRJ. In his MSc dissertation entitled 'Study of new carbon allotropes by Density Functional Theory'. He studied the structure and properties of theoretical carbon allotropes combining different computational techniques based on the density functional theory.

Felipe's current research interests are the structure, chemistry, and applications of new organic nanoporous materials - specially Covalent Organic Frameworks - combining computational chemistry tools and machine learning.
