Bio
Alberto Purpura is a Research Scientist at IBM Research Europe, Dublin in the NLP and Reasoning in Healthcare team.
His research focus is on Natural Language Processing (NLP). Since joining IBM he has developed different solutions to extract information from scientific literature with a focus on Relation Extraction.
He holds a Ph.D. in Information Engineering from the University of Padua, Italy where he studied deep neural models for document retrieval and ranking. Prior to joining IBM, he interned at Signal AI, Apple and Huawei where he worked on different NLP solutions for Sentiment Analysis and Information Retrieval.
