A grand finalist in the 2016 World Debating Championships, the world record holder for most debate competition victories and has attended three world championships, winning the European tournament in 2012.


On Thursday, 21 November, a live debate took place at the historic Cambridge Union. This debate will featured two teams each paired with two humans and a special guest, IBM Project Debater, the first AI system that can debate with humans on complex topics. The teams debated the motion "AI will do more harm than good." Project Debater supplied the opening speech for both the pro and con arguments and then the humans took over the rebuttal and summary.
