Biography
Ron Hoory

Ron Hoory received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel, in 1990 and 1993, respectively. His area of expertise is speech processing, including speech recognition, speech synthesis, speech coding, speech reconstruction, and noise cancellation. Since 1993, he has worked at the IBM Haifa Labs on various research projects in speech processing. He currently leads the Haifa Labs speech team. Current team activities include embedded concatenative text-to-speech and distributed speech recognition projects. Past activities that Ron has led include large vocabulary continuous Hebrew speech recognition and very low bit rate speech coding.
