Eran Aharonson
Eran Aharonson joined ART in 1992, where he served for over four years as vice president for research and development. In this capacity, he managed all the R&D activities in the company, primarily in the areas of speech and handwriting recognition. In 1998, Mr. Aharonson assumed the role of vice president for business development, with the responsibility of identifying new business directions and promoting new product development, and later went on to become chief operating officer and then president. In this position, he was in charge of the company's day-to-day operations, R&D, and sales and marketing. May 2003 saw Mr. Aharonson move on to the role of CEO. Earlier in his career, Mr. Aharonson worked for the IBM Scientific Research Center in Haifa, Israel, and commanded a technical unit during his service in the Israel Defense Forces. Mr. Aharonson holds Masters and Bachelors degrees in computer science from the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology), from which he graduated with distinction.
